Personal Achievements.

Some of my achievements from shoot-em-ups games I've extracted from SilentSelene, as well as other Touhou fangames and neighbor shmup games. Commentary opinions are my own. Some games might not have many replay links due to missing files on my end. This list will be changed constantly based on how many replays I've achieved throughout.

Should I make this mobile-compatible? Probably not, who the heck downloads replay files on their cellphones anyway. (Mobile compatible, just broken.)

The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil

Team Shanghai Alice, 2002

The first Touhou made for Windows machines. It was pretty barebone, pretty broken, pretty crap. But it was timeless with the music, characters, and sound designs. I like to think ZUN didn't know he'd created a franchise with just three games alone

Perfect Cherry Blossom

Same as the first game, except with drastically improved, non-compressed music. Timeless characters and music. Home of some of the most overrated songs ever played.

Imperishable Night

Team Shanghai Alice, 2004

The magnum opus of the trio as a whole. I can talk a lot about how this game is perfect, as it was considered the finale of Touhou back then. All in all, I like to think ZUN wanted to make something so grandeur to compensate for his sudden popularity, and it paid off super well.

Mountain of Faith

Team Shanghai Alice, 2007

ZUN decided not to end the series and continued with Mountain of Faith, the first to cover religious insights and deeper lore, despite Touhou being an episodic series. It starts and ends with very strong visuals, music, and memorable characters. Years later, every Ema in shrines are still drawn with Moriya Shrine characters, and more.

Subterranean Animism

Team Shanghai Alice, 2008

A game with a sudden steep learning curve compared to the ever-relaxing Mountain of Faith, with popcorns (round bullets) varied by size, alongside it's janky hitbox. Very difficult Orin & Okuu stage, best stage ever is Satori and Koishi; huge amount of memorable music, surpassing that of UFO.

A game with another step-up in difficulty, this time to the extreme of making Normal mode as hard as Lunatic. Very annoying from Hard and upwards, very difficult to 1cc.

Ten Desires

Team Shanghai Alice, 2011

I have many hot takes that was largely disproven by people, but I still stood by it: TD is horrible, all in terms of trance gathering mechanics, and indicator visuals. Players like me wouldn't even notice neither the sound nor the bar being filled. I got called skill issued for it, lol. The music was largely experimental, as ZUN was also working on Trojan Green Asteroid, which was not really my type. Desire Drive is a banger though.

Double Dealing Character

This game introduced the most broken Marisa shot ever made, whereas you can use the 'genki-dama' to farm items for extend fragments. To this day, maybe it's just my standards for hard games have gone up, but I still feel like cheating Lunatic with MarisaB.

Hidden Star in Four Seasons

My personal favorite game. The season gimmick was the only thing keeping the game from being as impossible as LoLK. Aunn and Okina are my favorite characters, and boss fights are a lot visually appealing.

    Wily Beast and Weakest Creature

    Same as TD in terms of pacing. The mechanics are either broken or broken but worse (in good faith). Keiki's fight is very cool, and of course the MUSIC. Maybe I'm not the type for slow-pacing games, looking at you HSoB.

    The start of a chain of complex shottypes games by ZUN. This game functions similar to HSiFS: If you don't got tertiary trinkets, the game will be difficult. This game is, until today, as the community puts it, a mixed bag.
